Lee Airton - has a PhD, identifies as 'they', he works as an assistant professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies in Education at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. They has created on online blog for people around the world to comment on called "They Is My Pronoun". They has created a national social media platform called No Big Deal Campaign allowing people to show support for trans-gender people and queer people alike.
Kumashiro - talks about how society, and therefore the curriculum and school is set up for typical people, those who have come from typical households, ethic backgrounds, identify as heterosexual and so on. He says that the schooling system is set up best for those who are able to comply with different forms of oppression without questioning them.
Dealing with Gender in the classroom - explains that young children are greatly impacted from societies ideals of gender. It comments on how teachers are faced with making critical decisions about to to address the topic of sexual and gender diversity at a young age although students have already been greatly impacted from their parents/elders and society.
